This molding not only adds a finishing touch but conceals the expansion space. It may also be used under cabinets where the wall base won't fit or at the stairway's base to provide a subtle blend between the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Moldings and trims are color-coordinated to your new hardwood floor and are used to join areas of flooring with other surfaces for a professionally finished, elegant look.
